On November 11, 2019, Gordon Franklin, aka Gordy, passed away. As a talented and well-respected lead service technician with Abel Womack for more than 25 years, Gordy’s joy for life was contagious and he always brought smiles to everyone’s faces.

One of our employees and fellow service technician, Rich Lewry shared his recollection of Gordy.

“Gordy had a way about him that not many people have. You hardly ever saw him genuinely angry, he always seemed happy and content, and funny. Gordy made everyone laugh. I don’t think I’ve known anyone as naturally funny as him.

He made friends and impressions no matter where he went. I’m so glad I had the opportunity to share a lot of those times with him. We spent many working hours together through the years, and I can’t tell you how much I’m – we’re – all going to miss him. He was one of a kind and very special person whom I loved like a brother.”

There are no words to describe the loss in our hearts. Gordy was an amazing guy and will truly be missed. May he rest in peace.
